Welcome to the workshop

A solo developer's open notebook — code, failures, experiments, and the occasional win.

Welcome to the workshop

Welcome to the workshop

If you’re reading this, you’ve either stumbled here by accident, followed a broken link, or actually clicked that “Let’s build” button I put somewhere. Either way — glad you made it.

I’m a solo indie developer. That means I wear all the hats: designer, backend engineer, frontend tinkerer, QA (the worst part), support (the second worst), and occasionally, marketing guy who tweets into the void.

This blog isn’t about being an expert. It’s about the messy, honest process of building things alone.

What you’ll find here

I’ll be writing about:

  • Products I ship (and sometimes un-ship, as you might have seen in the previous post)
  • Technical deep dives — not the polished tutorials, but the actual “why did this break at 2 AM” kind
  • Lessons learned from users — the ones who stay, the ones who leave, and the one who always asks for dark mode
  • Tooling and workflows — because as an indie, every minute saved is a minute I can spend over-engineering a button
  • The business side — pricing, marketing, and the terrifying moment you hit “publish” on a paid plan

Why I’m writing

Honestly? Because building in isolation is weird. You push code, you refresh analytics, you stare at a dashboard that barely moves. Writing forces me to clarify my own thinking — and if it helps someone else along the way, even better.

I’m not here to sell you a course or a “framework for success.” I’m here to share the raw logs of a developer who decided to go all-in on his own ideas.

A bit about me (since you asked)

I started coding because I wanted to make games. Ended up making SaaS tools, internal dashboards, and a few side projects that never saw the light of day. Somewhere along the way, I realized I enjoyed the craft more than the corporate ladder.

So here I am — no investors, no team, no meetings that could have been emails. Just me, my keyboard, and a never-ending queue of TODO comments.

If you’re also an indie, a maker, or just curious — feel free to reach out. I reply to most emails (unless they’re about SEO backlinks).

What’s next

I’ve got a few things in the pipeline:

  • A tiny utility that I actually use daily (will share soon)
  • A post-mortem on a project that failed spectacularly
  • A live-coding session? Maybe. If I figure out how to screen record without crashing my laptop.

For now, subscribe via RSS or just bookmark this page. I write when I have something worth saying — not on a schedule, but often enough to keep the cobwebs away.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s build something interesting.
